About the race
5 Peaks Whistler Blackcomb is the fourth race in the BC 5 Peaks Trail Running Series held at Whistler Blackcomb. The event uses gondola access onto the mountains and courses run across alpine terrain, including meadows with flowers, alpine lakes, and boulder fields with wide mountain views. The event offers multiple timed and non-timed options and distances for children and adults.
Distances include:
- 1 km Kid's Run
- 3 km Kid's Run
- 7 km Sport Run or Hike
- 11 km Enduro Run or Hike
- 16.5 km Grit Run
The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish, and at one or more aid stations on course. The on-course electrolyte beverage will be Blonyx Hydra+. Racers and spectators must purchase gondola tickets separately; individual registration does not include swag, finisher medals, or gondola lift tickets. Optional swag and finisher medals can be purchased in advance or on site while supplies last. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each gender and age category for each timed distance and must be picked up at the race.
A non-competitive hiking division is offered for participants who plan to walk the entire Sport or Enduro courses. Race rules prohibit dogs, headphones, strollers and baby carriers on course, and nordic poles except in the hiking divisions. Parking is available at the venue.
