Event details
The 5 Golden Rings Run is part of a Christmas series held at Pengethley Manor, Ross-on-Wye (what3words: physical.growth.shelf). Entrants choose one target distance:
- 5k (2 laps)
- 10k
- Half Marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
Each lap is 2.5 km. The course is offroad and runs entirely within the Pengethley Manor grounds. The organiser describes the route as very tough, with a hill on each lap and a series of up and downs through two vineyards. Competitors have a 7-hour overall time limit to complete their chosen distance. The event is open to walkers and runners. All entrants must be aged 18 or over.
Entry, virtual options and medals
Entry fees are non-refundable. Published fees include Race Entry (£29.00), Virtual UK Entry (£25.00) and Virtual Overseas Entry (£39.00). A charity entry option is available for £10.00 if the entrant agrees to raise at least twice that amount for the nominated charity and to raise the funds at least four weeks before the event. A deferral option to the next year is available for £15 up to four weeks before the event. Race bibs are collected at registration. Virtual entrants receive a personalised virtual bib by email. Paid virtual entrants can receive a medal after their run is verified. Free virtual participation via the organiser’s Strava group is recorded on the results list but does not include a medal.
