Dashing Through Defiance Run
Dashing Through Defiance is a community road race held in Defiance, Missouri on Saturday, December 5, 2026, in conjunction with the 17th annual Defiance Christmas Festival. The course passes through the town during the festival atmosphere.
The event offers these distances:
- 5K Run / Walk
- 10K Run / Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration includes a unisex long sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, live race results, and awards for top finishers. Santa suits are available for an additional five dollars. A portion of every race entry benefits the Augusta Volunteer Fire Protection District. Travlin' Tom's Coffee Truck will be onsite offering food and beverages.
Packet pickup is available before the event at Granada Cyclery in Saint Peters and on race day at Good News Brewing in Defiance. On-course nutrition includes water and an electrolyte drink for participants. At the finish there will be music and snacks; participants aged 21 or older will receive a post-race beer courtesy of Good News Brewing.
Awards are given to the top two overall male and female finishers for the 5K and 10K, and to the top two male and female finishers by age group for those distances in the listed age categories. The last day to register to guarantee a race shirt is November 11, 2026. Dogs are not permitted on course; participants requiring a service animal must make arrangements in advance. There are no refunds or transfers and management may modify or cancel the event for safety. Photographs may be taken and used for event promotion.
