Wildwood Trail Marathon : December 5, 2026
The event on December 5, 2026 in Wildwood, Missouri is organized by Terrain Trail Runners and is based at LaSalle Springs Middle School, 3300 Highway 109. The race weekend includes three distances:
- Marathon (approx. 26.2-ish miles on trail and greenway)
- 1/2 Marathon (approx. 13.1-ish miles on trail and greenway)
- 10K (out-and-back, about 3 miles out and 3 miles back)
Course surfaces combine paved greenway, crushed gravel, and dirt single-track. The marathon course includes long single-track sections with rocks and roots and lists approximate elevation gain of 1700 ft; the half marathon lists about 750 ft of elevation gain. The 10K follows paved and crushed-gravel paths and is described as nontechnical.
Aid station provision varies by distance: marathon runners have three manned aid stations, half marathon runners have two, and 10K runners have one. Stations are described as stocked with water, Hammer Heed electrolyte drink, assorted Hammer gels, and fruit at Sherman Beach aid station. Distances between aid stations are approximately 5.5 miles with no gap greater than about 7.5 miles. Restrooms are provided at the start/finish and the Sherman Beach turnaround.
This is a cup free event and participants are asked to carry their own drinking receptacle. A reusable collapsible cup will be available for purchase at packet pickup for cash. Packet pickup will be held on race day at LaSalle Springs Middle School.
Race day onsite registration will be accepted with cash only fees listed for each distance. The event began a partnership with the Trail Mix Fund in December 2025 to help cover registration fees for runners who cannot afford them. Awards, guaranteed swag deadlines, and included items vary by distance; the half and marathon registrations include a long sleeve technical shirt, finisher medal, and catered post race lunch, while the 10K includes a finisher medal and optional add ons.
