Wildwood Trail Marathon - Wildwood, MO
The Wildwood Trail Marathon is a trail race event held at LaSalle Springs Middle School in Wildwood, Missouri. The 2026 edition marks the tenth running and offers three distances:
- Marathon
- 1/2 Marathon
- 10K
Courses combine approximately two miles of paved greenway and a mixture of gravel, crushed‑gravel and dirt, with about 90 percent single‑track on the longer routes. The marathon route includes rocks and roots and lists an approximate elevation gain of 1700 ft and a stated length of about 26.2‑ish miles. The half marathon has an approximate elevation gain of 750 ft and a stated length of about 13.1‑ish miles. The 10K follows an out-and-back crushed‑gravel route of roughly three miles out and three miles back and is described as less technical than the longer courses.
Aid stations are manned and stocked with water, Hammer Heed electrolyte drink, Hammer gels and fruit at Sherman Beach. Approximate spacing between aid stations is 5.5 miles with no gap greater than approximately 7.5 miles for the marathon and half marathon. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and at Sherman Beach for the marathon.
This is a cup-free event; participants must carry their own drinking receptacle. Collapsible cups will be available for purchase at packet pickup for cash only. Race day registration will be accepted for all distances with cash-only fees for onsite entries. Awards are given to top finishers in the marathon and half marathon, and finisher medals and post-race food are included with those distances.
