Wildwood Trail Marathon - December 5, 2026
The Wildwood Trail Marathon takes place in Wildwood, Missouri, with start and finish at LaSalle Springs Middle School. The event offers multiple distances on mixed trail terrain through West County, St. Louis, including paved greenway, gravel, dirt and mostly single-track trails with rocks and roots.
Distances
- Marathon - approximately 26.2-ISH miles, about 1700 ft elevation gain.
- 1/2 Marathon - approximately 13.1-ISH miles, about 750 ft elevation gain.
- 10K (F.L.A.T. Out Tenkay) - out-and-back, roughly 3 miles out and 3 miles back; non-technical.
Course descriptions note routed segments on the Hamilton-Carr Trail, the Al Foster Memorial Trail, Rock Hollow Trail, Bluff View Trail and Sherman Beach connector trails. The marathon and half courses include longer single-track sections; the 10K follows paved and crushed-gravel surfaces with minimal technical terrain.
Aid stations and on-course support vary by distance. Marathon runners have three manned aid stations, half marathon runners have two, and 10K runners have one; stations are stocked with water, Hammer Heed electrolyte drink, Hammer gels and fruit at the Sherman Beach station. Restrooms are located at the start/finish and at the Sherman Beach aid station.
This is a cup free event. Participants should carry a drinking receptacle; a reusable collapsible cup will be available for purchase at packet pick for $5 cash. Packet pickup is scheduled at LaSalle Springs Middle School on race weekend.
Registration and event policies note an online registration deadline of November 29, 2026, and a guaranteed swag deadline of September 27, 2026. Race day registration fees are listed for each distance and are available on site as cash only. Awards are presented to the top male, female and non-binary finishers in the half marathon and marathon. Post-race food is catered and intended for registered runners.
