About the race
24HR "The Grind" is a 24 hour individual and team event in Perris, CA, organized by Machete Trail Madness. The venue is listed at 17801 Lake Perris Dr with the group campground and start area at Group Picnic C; attendees are advised to enter via the Morene Valley entrance rather than Ramona Express Way.
The course is the Molcajete 1.0 loop, described as about 4 miles+ per lap with substantial climbing. Participants complete as many laps as they can over 24 hours. The organizer is also considering a potential new course with a similar amount of climbing and a longer loop, possibly around 7 miles.
Teams consist of four runners of any gender mix. Each runner is assigned a number from 1 to 4 and teams must cycle through that exact order, with no skipping or repeating. One registration is completed by the team captain for all members.
Awards are given to the top three individual men and women and to the top three teams. Registration details indicate a closing date of January 2 at 11 59 PM PT and a registration cutoff of December 24, 2026 to guarantee a medal or buckle and a participant shirt.
