Desert Night Race Series
The Desert Night Race Series is a set of three Friday evening 5K races held once a month through October. Runners are encouraged to bring headlamps and party lights. The series features three desert themed medals, one medal for each 5K.
Live races take place at AZ Falls, 5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018. All live races are chip timed and include age group awards and raffle prizes. Each race has a participation limit of 250 spots. Dates for the three events are 8/21, 9/18, and 10/16.
The series raises funds for Child Crisis Arizona. That organization works to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment free from abuse and neglect by supporting strong and successful families.
Registration options include a series entry and individual race entries. Early series registration includes a free tech shirt for the series and is priced at $89 until 8/3. Individual races are $35 each with a $5 price increase two weeks before each race; a tech shirt is available for optional purchase with an individual entry. A virtual race option lets participants run on their own day and time, submit a time by email, receive a collectible medal, and have their entry support the same charity.
