Desert Night Race 2 - Phoenix, AZ
Desert Night Race 2 is an evening running event in Phoenix, Arizona, held at AZ Falls (5802 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85018). It is the second race in the Desert Night Race Series, a set of three Friday evening races held once a month through October.
The series comprises three live 5K races on the dates 8/21, 9/18, and 10/16. Each 5K is chip timed and includes age group awards and raffle prizes. Races are limited to 250 spots and are likely to sell out early. The series offers three different desert themed medals, one awarded for each 5K.
Entry options include individual race registration and a series registration. Early series registration is priced at $89 until 8/3 and includes a free tech shirt for the series; individual race entry is listed at $35 with a $5 price increase two weeks before a race. A tech shirt is available for optional purchase with individual race entries.
The event raises funds for Child Crisis Arizona. Child Crisis Arizona's mission is to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment, free from abuse and neglect, by creating strong and successful families. A virtual race option is available; virtual participants may run on their own day and submit a time, and virtual entries remain open until the end of the series or when each race sells out.
