1776 Merica
The 1776 Merica event takes place in Madisonville, TN at the Madisonville Kefauver Pavilion on July 4, 2026. The event returns as an in person meeting with a virtual option and a dedicated ruck division. Registration closes July 3.

The course departs from the Madisonville Kefauver Pavilion, follows an asphalt greenway around Kefauver Lake for the first mile, returns past the pavilion and playground, crosses the road, and continues on the Madisonville Bike Trail. The bike trail is described as a one mile wide lollipop with minimal elevation. The overall layout is roughly half greenway and half trail.
RuckMerica requires ruck sacks only, no weighted vests or other plate carriers. Specified dry weights are 30 lb for men, 20 lb for women, 20 lb for boys under 15, and 10 lb for girls under 15. Weight must be clearly stamped plates and cannot be removed during the event; the honor system applies.
Additional event features include a live stream on the event organizer YouTube channel, on site photographers, custom Merica bibs and awards, patriotic music, encouraged patriotic attire, sponsors, and a post event hot dog cookout with extra meal tickets available.
