Farragut Freedom Run
The Farragut Freedom Run is an annual July 4 event organized by Fleet Feet Knoxville in Farragut, Tennessee. The races take place on S. Campbell Station in front of First Citizen Bank (100 S Campbell Station Rd) and are held just ahead of the Town of Farragut Independence Day Parade.
The event offers relatively flat, fast courses that are USATF certified: 1 Mile (TN16035MS) and 2 Mile (TN16036MS). Both courses are point to point and therefore not eligible for a USATF record. Distances include:
- 1 Mile
- 2 Mile
Registration fees are stated as $25 through July 3 and $30 on July 4. Kids 10 and under are listed at $15 through July 3 and $20 on July 4. Packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet Knoxville the day before the race and at the start location on race day. Race day registration is available at the start location.
Awards are planned for overall male and female finishers, masters, grand masters, senior master "veteran" categories, and the top three in each age group. Age groups are detailed from 1-6 up to 85 and over. Proceeds from the race benefit Smoky Mountain Service Dogs. Organizers also note a need for volunteers to assist on race day.
