Scholars Run
Scholars Run is a community running event held at the Cooper Athletic Center on the Maryville College campus in Maryville, Tennessee. It is the second event of the 2026 Healthy Blount Triple Crown of Running and is scheduled for July 25, 2026.
The event offers multiple ways to participate:
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- 1 Mile Fun Run
- Virtual 5K (run anywhere between July 11 and July 26)
- Wheelchair 3.1 miles
The 5K course uses area city streets. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is entirely on the Maryville College campus. Participants in all three Triple Crown 5K events are eligible for Triple Crown cash awards, door prizes, and a special memento; participating in at least two events also makes participants eligible for door prizes. Awards in the 5K include overall and masters winners and the top three finishers in each age group. Fun Run participants receive a participation gift.
All participants receive a short-sleeved unisex shirt; shirt size is guaranteed for those who pre-register. Pre-race packet pickup is available at Dick's Sporting Goods in Hamilton Crossing. Post-race refreshments are provided for registered participants. A portion of proceeds benefits the Community Food Connection of Blount County.
General rules note that bicycles, roller blades, and dogs are not allowed on the course and the use of headsets is not recommended due to traffic. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
