US Road Running - Midlothian
The US Road Running event in Midlothian, Virginia, takes place at Midlothian Mines Park. The competition features two primary race distances on a set course:
- 5K
- 10K
The course is designed as an out-and-back route measuring 1.56 miles per lap. Participants in the 5K event complete the out-and-back circuit twice, while those participating in the 10K event complete the circuit four times. The meeting point for the start of the race is located at the Headstock next to Loch Lothian.
A course time limit of two hours is enforced for both distances. Registration is required through RunSignup prior to the event, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 30 minutes before the event begins and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start.
Participants are eligible for finisher medals upon completion of the course. The event also features a best costume competition, and runners can earn series points as part of the US Road Running series.
