Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race
The Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race is a community fundraising event held on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Bryan Park in Richmond, Virginia. The event features a 5K walk and run (3.1 mi) that raises awareness and funds to support patients with brain tumors and their families. The program includes registration and check in, an intimate remembrance ceremony, an opening program that honors survivors, the 5K race, and a closing ceremony with runner awards.
In-person registrations may include an event t-shirt if completed prior to September 25, 2026; t-shirts are not guaranteed to late registrants. Virtual participation is available with free registration; virtual participants who raise at least $75 by September 25, 2026 will receive an event t-shirt mailed to arrive by event day. Registration fees are listed for adults and youth, and volunteer participation is free. Fees increase beginning one month before the event and during event week.
Event amenities include activity tents, a Kids Tent with children’s activities, light refreshments and water, and on-site parking with attendants. An Honor and Celebrate Tent is provided for tributes and memorial items; materials to post will be available and participants may bring photos, letters, poems, mementos, or similar submissions to place in the tent on the day of the event. A 5K course map is published for the route. The event proceeds support local brain tumor community needs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
