Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race - October 25, 2026
The Virginia Brain Tumor Walk & Race is a community fundraising event held at Bryan Park, 4308 Hermitage Road, Richmond, VA. The event features a 5K (3.1 mi) walk/run and aims to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of patients with brain tumors and their families. The event is described as family-friendly and includes elements of celebration, remembrance and community support.
The day includes an intimate remembrance ceremony, a survivor tribute during the opening program, and a closing ceremony with runner awards. Awards will be given for the top three adult male, female and non-binary runners, the top three youth runners, and the top three survivor runners.
Registration options and fees are provided for in-person and virtual participation. Fees listed include adult walker $30, adult runner $35, youth walker (12 and under) $5, and youth timed runner (12 and under) $10. Event t-shirts are available for in-person registrants who register prior to September 25, 2026, and virtual participants who raise $75 or more by that date. Registration fees will increase during event week. Volunteer roles are available at no cost and are open to groups and individuals.
The event will take place rain or shine. Activity tents, a Kids Tent, light refreshments and water will be available. On-site parking is provided at Bryan Park with parking attendants. An Honor and Celebrate Tent will accept photos, letters, poems, essays and mementos on the day of the event. A hotel room block and a 5K course map are noted as available.
