Event overview
The Smoketree Zombie Fun Run is a community Halloween event scheduled as the third annual run on Saturday, October 24, 2026. The event offers two participation options: a 5k route and a 1 mile family walk. Registration for 2026 is open.
The 5k course runs on neighborhood roads and is described as being roamed by zombies. Runners pass decorated yards and encounter cheers from neighborhood block parties. A course feature new for 2026, called the Spirea Dead End, requires runners to turn back at the end of that section. The run begins and ends at Smoketree Pool, 11100 Smoketree Drive, North Chesterfield, VA 23236.
The family walk covers one mile and is presented as the family-friendly portion of the event. There are no zombies on the family walk. The walk also begins and ends at Smoketree Pool.
