UF Health Jacksonville Turkey Trot 5K
UF Health Jacksonville's 12th Annual Turkey Trot 5K is a fundraising road event for brain injury awareness taking place on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, in Atlantic Beach, Florida, at Dune House Hotel & Spa, 1 Ocean Blvd.
The event offers multiple distance options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
The 5K includes competitive and paced waves as well as a sensory start. The event also features a 1‑Mile Fun Run and walk. Race packet pick-up is available at Dune House Hotel & Spa on the days before the event and on race day in the Junior Ballroom.
All participants receive a finisher medal and a reusable water cup. An awards ceremony will be held at the main stage after the 1‑Mile Fun Run and walk. Awards include overall male and female, masters and grand‑masters divisions, and top three finishers in standard age groups (10 and under; 10–14; 15–19; 20–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; 70–74; 75–79; 80 and over). Additional recognitions include a costume contest, highest fundraiser, and team awards such as largest team by registration.
Proceeds support UF Health Jacksonville programs for traumatic brain injury care and recovery, including the hospital’s Brain Wellness Program, therapeutic equine programming, purchase of diagnostic and treatment equipment, staff training, community education, and support for long‑term rehabilitation services.
