About the race
The Mother's Day Classic in Adelaide is a community walk and run held at Pinky Flat and Tarndanya supporting breast and ovarian cancer research. Registrations for this event have closed.
Participants can choose from walk and run options on two course lengths:
- Walk: 4 km
- Walk: 7 km
- Run: 4 km
- Run: 7 km
The event includes an Embrace & Honour option, where participants are invited to observe a minute of silence at the start line to recognise those touched by breast or ovarian cancer.
Course routes start at Pinky Flat and follow park paths and bridges toward the Uni footbridge and the weir for the 4 km loop, and along the Hackney Street Bridge route for the 7 km course. Both courses are described as wheelchair and pram friendly.
Event features include an event village with food and coffee vendors, water refill stations on course and at the village, medal engraving services with possible wait times, and cashless payments. There is no onsite parking; street parking in North Adelaide or prebooked commercial car parks is recommended. Public transport access is available by bus, train, and tram. Dogs are not permitted.
