Skinny Raven Turkey Trot - Anchorage
The Skinny Raven Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day event in downtown Anchorage with both in person and virtual participation options on November 26, 2026. The in person event is staged from the Dena'ina Civic & Convention Center with an indoor finish line inside the Dena'ina Center and a start near 8th Avenue and G Street.

Awards include overall prizes for the top three finishers by gender in the 5K and pies for age class winners and for the top three 10 and under in the Mini Turkey. Age classes are organized in standard brackets (1-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+) for both men and women.
The event supports the Food Bank of Alaska; donations through registration and a concurrent food drive help fund a local Thanksgiving food distribution. The 2026 fundraising goals include $15,000 and 1,000 pounds of food. Virtual participants may request that bibs and shirts be mailed; domestic shipping options are provided.
Participant policies include prohibitions on pets, bicycles, and rollerblades, and requests that baby joggers and strollers start toward the back of the field. A long sleeve technical shirt is included with registration; registrants may opt out and have the shirt value donated to the Food Bank of Alaska. Icebug is announced as a winter shoe partner.
