Light the Way 5K & Kids Run
The Light the Way event is a holiday-themed night run held on December 19, 2026, around Fort Missoula Park. The course uses paved and gravel paths and is lit for the evening event. Cookies and cocoa are provided at the finish area.
Because the event takes place after dark, organizers recommend that participants use a headlamp or flashlight during the run. A course map is available showing the separate routes for the main run and the kids run.
The event includes an ugly sweater contest judged by a panel; the winner is announced before the race. Distances offered at the event include:
