ZooTown Challenge Obstacle Course Race
The ZooTown Challenge takes place on September 26, 2026, at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana. The event stages multiple obstacle course race categories that use the stadium, the University of Montana campus, M Trail, and additional course elements.
Race categories and distances include:
- Griz Double 10k - 35 obstacles
- ZooTown 5k - 20 obstacles
- ZooTown 3k - approximately 3k
- Kids Race (5 to 12 years) - inside stadium; course by Mismo Gymnastics
- All Abilities - for athletes with physical or intellectual limitation
- Teams 5k - final time is combined time of four racers
Spectators are welcome, and food trucks are located at the North End Zone. Volunteers are part of the event operations; volunteers receive food vouchers for race day and free entry to the next year’s ZooTown Challenge.
The All Abilities category is offered without an entry fee and may pair racers with a buddy to complete a specially designed course. Team entries combine four racers’ times and may assist each other on obstacles. Net race proceeds are donated to Opportunity Resources Inc., an organization that supports people with disabilities through employment opportunities, artistic and creative projects, stable housing, and community involvement.
