The Maverick Jurassic Coast Trail 2026
The event takes place on Saturday 17 October 2026 at Burnbake Forest Lodges and Campsite, Corfe Castle, Wareham, Dorset (BH20 5JH). Routes run around the Isle of Purbeck and along part of the Jurassic Coast and Purbeck Way, with sections across marshland and coastal ridgelines.
- Half Marathon: 24 km, +395 m
- Middle: 12 km, +105 m
- Short: 6 km, +35 m
The terrain is technical with long steep climbs and descents. Some routes pass coastal landmarks such as Old Harry's Rocks and St. Aldhelm's Head. GPX files are provided for the routes. There will be one outpost on the Half Marathon route at approximately 9 km offering sweet and savoury snacks, gels and an electrolyte drink; there are no outposts on the Short or Middle routes. Outposts aim to be cup free so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle.
Facilities include free parking, a fully marked course, full timing with online results, event photography, food and drink availability and a metal finishers medal. The event is dog friendly but dog entries have sold out. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Online entry closes on Monday 12 October 2026 at 11:00am and on-the-day entries are subject to availability. Runners are advised to carry at least 1 litre of water, a raincoat, a foil blanket and a mobile phone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
