Celebrating 65 Years: Cardinal Stritch 5K and Kids Fun Run
The event marks Cardinal Stritch School's 65th anniversary and raises funds to improve on-campus athletic facilities. Organizers intend proceeds from sponsorships and participant fees to address needs such as a football field, a softball field, and a modern track. The event is positioned as a community effort to support student athletics, school pride, and the long term investment in Catholic education.
The program includes a main road or campus run and a separate youth course for younger participants. Distances offered include:
- 5K
- 0.5 miles (Kids Fun Run)
There are separate registration categories and fees: a general community 5K registration, a discounted 5K category for alumni, current students, faculty, and staff, and a free Kids Fun Run registration for children age 10 and under. Each adult race registration includes one free Kids Fun Run registration. Cardinal Stritch track and cross country athletes will run with and encourage the children during the youth course.
The event is described as an effort to build momentum for future years, strengthen school identity, support student athletes, and help retain students by improving athletic opportunities and facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
