Sgt. Nevada Krinkee Memorial 5k
The Sgt. Nevada Krinkee Memorial 5k is a community memorial run held at Thorne Rider Park in Sheridan, Wyoming on September 26, 2026. The third annual race donates its primary 2026 profits to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter in support of the organizer's stated non-profit mission.
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk all ages, timed
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk youth and adult options
The 5K includes overall male and female champions and 1st through 3rd place awards in age divisions for both sexes. Team awards include fastest team (top three times) and largest team. The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is timed for youth ages 4 through 12 with medals for youth finishers; participants age 13 and up are untimed and non-competitive.
Registration details list fees and shirt availability: the 5K registration fee is $40 and the 1 Mile fee is $35. Race shirt and other swag are included but not guaranteed for registrations after September 10, 2026. Additional on-site features described by the organizer include a kid fun zone, inflatables, and tours of first responder vehicles. Strollers are allowed.
