The Peake Run 10K
The Peake Run takes place at East Beach in Annapolis as part of the Maryland Seafood Festival's 60th anniversary celebration. The event features the large inflatable "Mama Duck," described as 60 feet tall and 70 feet long, and finishes on or near the sands of the Chesapeake Bay. The course is a down-and-back route that uses the new Broadneck Peninsula Trail; about 99% of the route is on paved paths with a short segment on packed dirt.
Distances offered:
- 10K (6 miles) featured race for the 60th anniversary
- 5K scenic route along the peninsula
- 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk open to families and community participants
All races are scheduled to finish before the festival opens; race entries include same-day admission to the Maryland Seafood Festival and access to post-race food, drinks, and entertainment. Participant benefits include a finisher medal and an official event shirt. Packet pickup is available the week of the race: Wednesday 4:00–8:00 PM at Red Eyes Dock Bar in Grasonville, and Thursday 4:00–8:00 PM in Annapolis at a location to be announced. Morning packet pickup is not generally offered unless arranged with race headquarters.
Parking is managed by the State of Maryland at Sandy Point State Park; a $12 per vehicle parking add-on was made available during registration.
