About the race
The Southern Sydney Track Ultra is a multi-day track running and race walking event held at the Campbelltown Athletics Centre in Leumeah, south of Sydney. The 2027 edition is scheduled for Friday 02 July – Sunday 04 July 2027 (TBC) and will be the seventh running of the event organized by Ultra Running NSW.
The program spans three days with ten races in total. The event includes these running distances:
- 48 hour
- 24 hour
- 12 hour
- 6 hour
- 3 hour
- 1 hour
Race walking events are offered from 48 hours down to 6 hours. The 24 hour and 48 hour races will host the Australian National Track Championships in 2027. The meeting also incorporates an official Australian Centurion Walkers qualifier race and the Race Walking Australia 100 km Walking Championships. The venue received a new synthetic track surface that was re-measured over the 2024/25 summer months, and the event holds IAU Bronze label sanctioning.
