Sgt. Dennis Vaccaro Memorial 5K Run/Walk 2027
The Sgt. Dennis Vaccaro Memorial 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for 2027 in West Long Branch, New Jersey, at the West Long Branch Community Center. The event includes a community 5K and a free kids dash with activities for children.

Event amenities listed include live, text, and email results, free finish line photos, personalized bibs for registrations completed three weeks in advance, a raffle with a grand prize for participants 21 and older, post run refreshments, and T-shirts for pre-registered participants (no shirts for the fun run). A local food bank will attend to collect nonperishable donations.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top male and female in age groups 14 and under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70 plus. There is also an award for the largest group.
Proceeds benefit The Dennis A. Vaccaro Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports programs for veterans. Early T-shirt and bib pickup is available the day before at the community center, with day of pickup handled by event staff on site. The course is described as mostly flat around Franklin Lake and through West Long Branch neighborhoods, with the start in front of the community center and the finish behind it.
