About the race
The Mother's Day Classic in Horsham is a community run and walk held at the Horsham Soundshell beside the Wimmera River. The event offers route options of:
- 5 km run
- 5 km walk
- 2 km walk
The course is a flat out-and-back route that starts at the Horsham Soundshell, heads west along the river, crosses the Centenary Bridge, continues under the Western Highway Bridge to a turn-around point, and returns along the same sealed paths. The 2 km option crosses the Centenary Bridge and returns the same way.
Event facilities are located at the Horsham Soundshell, with parking available along Hocking and Firebrace Street. The site includes toilets, wheelchair- and pram-friendly access, water stations on course, a coffee van and a BBQ breakfast, and various items for purchase. Dogs are permitted in all areas on leash. The event is run as a fun run/walk and does not provide official run timing on the day. Registrations for this instance of the event have closed.
