Horsham Running Festival 2026
The Horsham Running Festival will be held on September 13, 2026 at Sawyer Park, Hocking Street, Horsham, Victoria. The event takes place on paths alongside the Wimmera River and is presented as the second annual running festival in Horsham.
The festival offers multiple distance options:
- Marathon (four laps of a 10.55 km course)
- Half marathon
- Quarter marathon run (10.55 km)
- Quarter marathon walk
- 5 km run or walk (out-and-back from the parkrun start to near Weir Park)
- 2 km Kids' Dash (free, untimed, for under-12s)
Entry fees vary by distance and include early bird and full-price windows. Early bird registration runs from December 22 to August 23, and full-price registration runs from August 24 to September 6. The marathon is described as four laps of the 10.55 km circuit on either side of the river.
The race director involved with the festival has experience coordinating regional running events and community fundraisers. Previous events coordinated by the same director have grown in participation and raised funds for youth development charities. The Horsham Running Festival aims to attract visiting runners, encourage local participation among children and adults, and provide an additional annual challenge for the local parkrun and running community.
