Spartan Stampede
The Spartan Stampede is a one-mile run and walk organized by the St. James Catholic School Home and School Association each October. The event serves as a school fundraiser and as a community activity attended by current and past St. James families.
The event includes a race day t-shirt that features artwork from the student logo contest winner. The 2026 Spartan Stampede is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026 at McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg.

The Spartan Stampede combines a short-distance running and walking option with school-centered community involvement and student participation in the race-day artwork.
