Prairie Dog Trail Run
The Prairie Dog Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, 2026. The event is the inaugural 5K and 10K trail run held at Prairie Moraine, located at 6705 Wesner Road, Verona, Wisconsin. The park covers 170 acres of restored prairies and oak savanna and features varied terrain with well-maintained trails.

Amenities at the event include on-site restroom facilities, post-race refreshments, a race aid station and first aid station, and a takeaway gift. Dogs are not allowed during the race.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds from entry fees is donated to Prairie Moraine Friends, a nonprofit organization, and will be used to restore and manage the park.
