Fetch 5K
The Fetch 5K is an annual event held at The Boneyard Dog Park and Biergarten in Madison, Wisconsin. This event serves as a celebration for the Fetch Wisconsin Rescue organization, marking 12 years of operations and the rescue of over 4,500 dogs. Participants can choose between running and walking formatted distances based on their preference and age group.
The event offers several individual participation options:
- 5K (3.1 miles) for runners or walkers.
- 1 Mile Fun Walk for participants of all ages.
- Kids 1 Mile Fun Walk specifically for children aged 15 and under.
Dogs are permitted to participate in the race alongside their owners. Participants bringing a dog must follow specific rules and complete a dedicated waiver for the venue. Registered participants receive an event T-shirt, though preferred sizes are not guaranteed for those who register within 48 hours of the scheduled start.
The venue features specific age restrictions for its different zones. While children of all ages are permitted in the on-leash area and indoor spaces where post-race activities occur, only individuals aged 15 and older may enter the off-leash areas. The gathering includes a party at the conclusion of the physical activities to commemorate the organization's milestone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
