About the race
The Honolulu 5K is a community road running event held at Ala Moana Park, with the Start/Finish located at 1201 Ala Moana Blvd, Honolulu, HI 96814. The event lists both 5K and 10K distances.
Race entries include a premium race shirt, a custom finisher medal, professional timing, access to a post race expo with vendors and sponsors, and free post race tacos. Participants may also enter raffles with prizes and a chance to win flight vouchers from Frontier Airlines. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
Hydration stations are provided approximately every 1.5 miles along the course. To reduce single use waste, water stations are cup free; participants are asked to bring a reusable bottle or cup. Each station uses a hands free foot pedal water unit that dispenses about 10 oz per second.
Packet pickup is offered the day before at a to be determined location and on race morning at the Registration Tent near the Start/Finish line. Strollers are allowed and should remain on the right side of the course when possible. Pets are permitted where local regulations allow.
