Ikaika 5K & 10K
Ikaika (pronounced ee-KYE-kah), meaning physical, mental and moral strength, is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Ala Moana Regional Park and Magic Island in Honolulu. The course begins in the park keyhole area, tours the man-made peninsula of Magic Island, then continues on a mauka-side straightaway. The 5K is one lap; the 10K is two laps.

Both courses are predominantly asphalt (81%) with 19% concrete and about 67% adjacent soft surface. Courses are measured at least three times before race day. Aid stations average about one mile apart and provide water, electrolytes, first-aid and occasional energy options. Medical support is provided at each start and finish area. Timing uses disposable chips with no return fee and electronic preliminary results are available via the QR code on race bibs.
On-course and finish-line services include free race photos, gear check, portable restrooms, cooling towels, finisher medals, souvenir bibs (personalization available by the advance deadline), optional race shirts and an optional post-race meal featuring breakfast burritos and chocolate milk with vegetarian options. Awards are three-deep overall and by divisions with ten-year age groups from 0 to 99. The event benefits Still I Run and its Starting Line Scholarship program.
