River Torrens Running Festival
The River Torrens Running Festival takes place at Drage Reserve in Felixstow and uses paths alongside the River Torrens. The event offers multiple measured race distances on a flat, fast course that follows the river.
Available distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km Family Dash
All event distances are chip timed by Multisport Australia. Finishers receive a themed medal, post-race snacks, sponsor giveaways, and a finisher’s certificate. There is no cut-off time for the 2 km, 5 km, or 10 km events; the Half Marathon has a 3.5 hour cut-off. A photographer will take images on course for later publication.
The 2 km Family Dash is aimed at involving children in outdoor activity; an accompanying adult can run with a child for an extra $10 but that adult will not be timed and will not receive a finisher’s medal. Race bibs are printed three weeks before the event and posted two weeks before; to have a name printed on a bib, registration must be complete at least three weeks before the event, and mailed bibs require registration at least two weeks out.
Drage Reserve has on-site parking and nearby residential street parking, and several Adelaide Metro bus routes provide access near the event village. Volunteers on race day are offered benefits including free entry to a future race, free morning coffee, and a post-event breakfast. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
