Zoo Run Relay (41st Annual)
The Zoo Run Relay is a relay and individual running event held at the San Antonio Zoo on Friday, September 11, 2026. The relay is run by teams of four, with each team member completing the same loop. The individual option covers two loops of the course.
Race format and equipment details are specified: each relay runner carries a baton that contains the timing chip, and all team members use race bibs that share a number but have different colors for each leg. Team packets are released to a single team representative at packet pickup.
Registration includes access to the Runner’s Village on race day, two drink tickets, a gender specific custom shirt, a drawstring bag, and one complimentary adult standard admission zoo ticket. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by August 25, 2026. The event policy states no refunds for personal decisions not to attend; transfers or resale instructions are provided with registration confirmation.
Spectators may enter the Runner’s Village free of charge during the posted spectator entry window. Strollers are not recommended on the course and are not allowed on the trail or in the transition area; they are allowed in the Runner’s Village. Multiple competitive categories are offered, including men’s, women’s, coed, masters, high school, family, corporate, and military or first responder divisions.
