41st Annual Zoo Run Relay at the San Antonio Zoo
The event is a relay run held at the San Antonio Zoo on Friday, September 11, 2026. Teams are four people each, with each runner completing one loop. There is also an individual option that covers two loops.
Distances:
- Relay team: four runners, each runs a 2.1 mile loop.
- Individual run: one runner completes two 2.1 mile loops for 4.2 miles.
Each team uses a baton that contains the timing chip; each runner must carry the baton during their leg. Team members wear race bibs with the same number in different colors to indicate running order. Spectators may enter the Runners Village during the allowed entry window free of charge. Strollers are not appropriate on the race route but are allowed in the Runners Village.
Registration includes access to the Runner’s Village, two drink tickets, a custom gender specific Zoo Run shirt, a Zoo Run drawstring bag, and one complimentary adult standard admission zoo ticket. Shirts are ordered on August 27, 2026; guaranteed shirt sizes require registration by August 26, 2026.
