OUTLAST San Antonio : overview
OUTLAST San Antonio is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the Land Heritage Institute, 1349 Neal Rd, San Antonio, TX 78264. The event is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge in which participants run a 5K loop every hour. Each lap must be completed within the hour to continue in the event; runners who finish early rest until the next round, and those who miss a lap are removed from further rounds. Packet pickup is available on race day.
Course, services and awards
The course is trail-based with natural terrain, including dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation, with occasional pavement or gravel. Aid is provided at the basecamp/loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. This is a cupless event, so participants are expected to bring their own bottle or hydration system. Tent or personal aid-station setups are allowed.
Progression and awards are tiered by laps completed: 4 laps earn a bronze leather patch, 5 laps earn a silver leather patch, and 6 laps earn a premium OUTLAST wooden medal. All participants receive an OUTLAST T‑shirt and sticker. Finishers who complete all six laps receive a combined time that counts toward local winners and a national leaderboard. The fastest competitors may qualify for national prizes and an Outlast Championship; prize and qualification details are listed by the event. Registration follows tiered pricing with scheduled increases before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
