Course and logistics
The course is a paved, point-to-point route that begins in Virgin, UT and finishes in Springdale in front of Cable Mountain Lodge near the south entrance of Zion National Park. Runners follow a partially closed road that winds and climbs along the Virgin River, run on Hwy 9 through small towns, and switch to a paved trail past Grafton and through Rockville. The organizer rates the course difficulty 2/5 and notes steady uphill sections on paved terrain. The race is accessible to wheelchairs and strollers.
Aid stations are cup-free and are located approximately at miles 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11; aid station 1 serves as the official clothing drop and aid station 3 has a medic. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, gels, toilets, and basic first aid. Shuttles run from Springdale and La Verkin to the start; there is no start-line parking and post-race shuttles return runners to those towns.
