10th Annual Zintel Canyon Run
The Zintel Canyon 4K is an annual running event held in Kennewick, Washington. Participants follow the Spirit of America Trail through the heart of the city. The course covers a distance of 4 km (2.5 miles) and features a variety of surfaces, including paved sections, gravel, and dirt.
The route starts at the trailhead near 7th and Vancouver and proceeds to a turnaround point near 24th and Ely. The first half of the course involves a gradual uphill climb, with an elevation gain of approximately 85 feet over 1.25 miles. Runners then return along the same path, which is gradually downhill for the second half of the event.
While the race does not utilize chip timing, finish times are recorded manually by event staff and results are posted following the conclusion of the run. Registration includes a commemorative T-Shirt. Proceeds from the event are directed toward supporting summer activities for local youth in the Tri-Cities area.
