Candy Land Run
The Candy Land Run is a multi-day trail event at Candy Mountain in Richland, WA, held from November 28 to December 5, 2026. The event includes in-person trail routes and a virtual option; proceeds support Mirror Ministries and its work with victims and survivors of sex trafficking.
Distances and routes include:
- Gumdrop Loop 1.25 miles family route
- Chocolate Route 3.5 miles trail to mountain top
- Licorice Trail 10k and a 10k ruck option
Courses are on local trails and will be marked. Participants receive a themed course map and can collect stamps at candy-themed stations that offer treats. Candy Land characters appear along the routes for photos. Hot cocoa and gingerbread cookies are provided at event stations. Volunteers will be present to assist on course.
Timing and awards: the 3.5 mile and 10k distances are chip-timed; the 1.25 mile is a fun route without official timing. Wooden finisher medals are awarded to finishers. Overall awards are given for top male and female finishers in the 3.5 mile distance, and age-group awards are provided for 10k and 3.5 mile across standard age brackets from 3-5 up to 80-89. RUCK participants must carry a dry weight of 20 to 30 pounds in a rucksack; packs will be weighed at the start and finishers receive a special ruck patch.
Parking is organized at Bethel Church with shuttle service to Candy Mountain; parking on nearby roadways or in residential areas is not allowed. Online registration closes October 28, 2026. The virtual option allows one week, November 28 to December 5, to complete a chosen distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
