Zilker Relays
The Zilker Relays is scheduled for September 11, 2026 at Zilker Metropolitan Park in Austin. It is a team relay event covering 10 miles in total, with each team made up of four runners. Each participant completes a 2.5 mile loop that starts and finishes at a central festival and transition area.
Event distances:
- 10 miles total, teams of 4, each runner 2.5 miles
- Kid's Dash for children 13 and younger, out-and-back route
Team captains are responsible for filling their teams; runners may run for more than one team if they pay an additional entry fee. Registration for a team entry includes chip timing using a relay baton, a Zilker Relays t-shirt for each teammate, a Tacodeli post-race meal, cold drinks from Zilker Brewing Co., live music and access to the after-party, and custom awards for top teams. Friends and family may purchase Athlete’s Village passes for food and drinks.
Course and event policies note that dogs are not allowed on the course or near the exchange zone, and bicycles or scooters are prohibited on the course except for official bike leads. Athletes who require wheeled-device accommodations can arrange them with the race coordinator prior to race day. Packet pickup takes place on dates before the event at Karavel Shoes; there is no race-day packet pickup. All proceeds benefit the Marathon Kids program.
