Zilker Relays - Austin Runners Club
The Zilker Relays takes place September 11, 2026 at Zilker Metropolitan Park. It is a 10 mile team relay in which each team has four runners; each participant completes a 2.5 mile loop that begins and ends at a central festival and transition area.
Event amenities and services included with team registration are chip timing using a relay baton, a post race dinner from Tacodeli, cold drinks from partner breweries, live music, custom awards for top teams, and a Zilker Relays t shirt for each teammate. An Athlete’s Village offers food and beverage access for participants and guests.
Participation rules and on course policies are stated clearly. Team captains must register a full four person team; runners may run for more than one team only with an additional entry fee. A Kid’s Dash is offered for children 13 and younger on an out and back route so young participants may choose their distance. Dogs are not allowed on the course or near the exchange zone. Bicycles and scooters are prohibited on the course except for official bike leads; exceptions for athletes who require wheeled devices can be arranged in advance.
Packet pickup is scheduled at Karavel Shoes prior to race day and requires the full team to be registered and waivers signed. Proceeds benefit the Marathon Kids program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
