Zilker Relays
The Zilker Relays is a team relay race held at Zilker Metropolitan Park on September 10, 2027. The main event covers 10 miles with teams of four; each team member completes a 2.5 mile loop that starts and finishes at a central festival and transition area. The event includes a Kids Dash for younger runners with short out-and-back races.
Registration for a team entry includes:
- entry for a four person team
- chip timing using a relay baton
- a Zilker Relays t-shirt
- a Tacodeli dinner plate and drinks at the finish
- access to live music, the post-race festival, and awards for top teams
Race rules and participant notes:
- Teams must have four runners; team captains are responsible for filling teams.
- Runners may run for more than one team if they pay an additional entry fee.
- Children 13 and younger may enter the Kids Dash; the Kids Dash route is out-and-back so children may run distances they choose.
- Dogs are not allowed on the course or near exchange zones; leashed pets are welcome in other festival areas.
- Bicycles and scooters are not permitted on the course except for official bike leads; accommodations can be made for athletes who require wheeled devices with prior approval.
- Official photographers will cover the festival and course; unofficial photographers are not permitted on the course.
Packet pickup occurs before race day at Karavel Shoes; full teams must be registered and have signed waivers via the event platform to collect packets. On-site parking is available for purchase in a designated gravel lot. Proceeds benefit the Marathon Kids program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
