Event Details
The Great Springs Trail Race takes place at Southeast Metro Park in Austin, Texas. The venue is a large park with sports fields, playgrounds, and shade trees. The course features single-track and some double-track trails located on a bluff above Onion Creek. The event offers six race distances on a looped course.

Course Information
The race uses a roughly 6.5-mile loop. The route includes a rocky downhill start on a jeep road, a short two-way section, a steep climb and descent, and winding trails through mesquite and oak trees along Onion Creek. There is one on-course aid station, plus one at the start/finish line. The loop has an elevation gain of about 640 feet.
Additional Information
The race is cupless; participants must bring their own cup or bottle. Collapsible cups are available for purchase. The event is organized with the support of the Great Springs Project, which focuses on water conservation related to the Edwards Aquifer, and the Travis County Parks Foundation. The race hub area includes backyard games for spectators. There is a mass start for each distance, and results use "Gun Time" for official rankings.
