Great Springs Trail Race - Austin
Great Springs Trail Race takes place March 6, 2027 at Southeast Metro Park in Del Valle, near Austin. The event offers multiple distances and a youth one mile, all hosted in a large city park with trails along Onion Creek and wooded bluffs.

The course uses a well marked 6.5 mile loop featuring single track, some double track, a rough half mile jeep road with rocky downhill, technical creek bed sections, short drops and climbs, and an overall elevation gain of about 640 feet per loop. Runners pass the start/finish and on course aid station every few miles; the pump aid station is stocked with snacks and encouragement. There will be one on course aid station plus a main start/finish aid station offering water, Tailwind, fruit, and grab and go snacks.
The event is cupless to reduce waste; collapsible cups are available at packet pickup for $7 cash or Venmo and merchandise purchases are available later with card. Course markings include caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers; reflectors are used for any dark hour running. Timing is chip based with chips to be worn on the ankle and returned after finishing. Pacers are not allowed. Parking is at the large sports field lots south of the primitive trailhead with a quarter mile walk to the trailhead; ADA parking near Dinosaur Park can be requested at packet pickup.
