Course and race logistics
The course is a marked 6.5 mile loop used for multiple distances. Each loop begins on a rough jeep road with about a half mile of rocky downhill, includes a short two-way section, a steep climb followed by a steep descent, creek bed passages, and wooded single track along Onion Creek. Total elevation gain per loop is about 640 feet.
There are two aid locations: one on course and one at the start/finish area, stocked with water, fruit, Tailwind, and grab-and-go snacks; cold sodas and water are available at the finish. The course uses extensive markings including caution tape, yellow arrows, and confidence markers. All races are chip timed; chips are ankle-mounted, picked up at the venue on race morning, and must be returned if a runner leaves the event. Pacers are not allowed. Drop bags are not provided on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
