Heart of Round Rock Run
The Heart of Round Rock Run is a community-focused event organized by the C.D. Fulkes PTA. Now in its second year, the event takes place at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. The run is designed to bring together families, students, and local businesses from across the Round Rock Independent School District, specifically involving 16 east side RRISD campuses from elementary through high school levels.
Participants have the choice of two different untimed routes:
- 5k loop through the park
- 1 mile route through the park
The course utilizes the trails and paths of Old Settlers Park. Each distance features a separate staging area. Following the walk and run, a post-race gathering includes a DJ, bounce houses, family-friendly games, and various food trucks.
This district-wide event supports Title 1 schools. Funds raised from the occasion are allocated toward student and teacher resources. These resources include classroom supplies, staff mini-grants, enrichment programs, various school clubs, and a student snack room. The event focuses on wellness and educational equity within the local school community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
