ZigZag - 2027 Windmill Way Wander
ZigZag's Windmill Way Wander takes place on Saturday 16 January 2027 at the Suffolk Running Centre in Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event uses the Windmill Way road route and offers multiple fixed-distance options and a mass start with a seven-hour cut off.

Course details note that sub-half distances follow an out-and-back format with turnaround points, the half is one loop, and the marathon is two loops. The route is entirely on road, passes through Higham, Gazeley, Ashley, Dalham and Denham, and includes rolling hills with about 600 ft of elevation. The windmill at Dalham is a named landmark on the route and Dalham Hall is visible from parts of the course.
Support and logistics include an aid station with drinks and snacks approximately every 10 km, a base camp at the start/lap point with a water/aid station, and parking included in the entry price. The event is cupless, so no disposable cups will be provided at aid stations. Entries are limited to 300, minimum age is 18 years, and entries close 15/01/2027 with transfers closing 09/01/2027. Entrants receive email confirmation with a link to the race briefing pack. Medal options include a bespoke event medal or a lucky dip selection from previous medals.
