Ickworth Sunset Chase : overview
The Ickworth Sunset Chase is a trail running event at Ickworth Park, a National Trust country estate near Horringer, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The event date is 4 September 2026. The route uses multi terrain including a new limestone path, footpaths, woodland and meadows across rolling parkland. All finishers receive a medal; trophies are awarded to the top three male and female finishers.

Entrants must be at least 12 years old on race day to enter the 5 km and at least 16 years old to enter the 10 km. Entry fee is listed as £27, or £25 for attached club runners. To conform to UK Athletics rules, an additional £2 fee applies for non attached club runners. The 10 km uses chip timing; the organisers note that recorded times are final and accept no responsibility for equipment failure.
Logistics and conditions
The race is cupless; fresh water is available for bottle refills only. Participants are asked to carry a torch for their own safety. First aid is provided on site. Parking is free at the estate car park; drivers park at their own risk. The event operates under a race permit (6990) and British Athletics rules are used to determine winners.
