Ickworth Sunset Chase
The Ickworth Sunset Chase is a scenic running event held at Ickworth Park, a National Trust estate near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Offering 5K and 10K distances, the race starts at sunset, guiding runners through landscaped parkland, meadows, forests, and rolling countryside. The course features multi-terrain paths including a new limestone trail, suitable for both trail and road runners.
Participants must carry a torch for safety as the race progresses into dusk. The event is chip-timed, with finisher medals awarded to all and trophies for the top three male and female finishers. It promotes sustainability as a cupless race with water refill stations.
