About the race
The Lucky Clover is a multi-distance running event held at Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. The event offers several distance options and uses prepared routes for each distance.
Distances available:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Full marathon
- Ultra marathon
The half and full marathon use the Hargrave Half Route, while the 5k and 10k run on the Mount Barrow route; a route change has been made where part of the original Clover Route became impassable. The event operates with a seven hour cutoff for completions. Race headquarters and base camp are located at the start and lap point; the base camp hosts the water and aid station. Additional aid stations providing drinks and nibbles are located approximately every 10 km along the course.
Parking is included in the entry price. Finishers receive a bespoke event medal, or entrants can select a lucky dip finisher option when available, which awards a previous or finisher medal. The event has adopted a cupless policy, so runners are expected to use their own bottles or cups for refilling at aid stations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
