'Twas The Run Before Christmas
The event is scheduled for 13 December 2026 at High Lodge, Thetford Forest (IP27 0AF) and is organised by Zig Zag Running. It offers multiple distance options on a single forest loop with all distances starting together.

The course uses an approximately 5.3 km loop inside Thetford Forest, almost entirely off road with about 12 m of climb and recorded high and low points of 58 m and 46 m. The loop is used repeatedly for longer distances so runners complete multiple laps for 10k and above. A heavy half marathon is set at five laps by default with the option to increase to six or seven laps on the day. The ultra is set at nine laps by default with the option to extend up to 12 laps depending on time available. The event operates with overall cut off times; a shorter cut off applies to the later start.
Facilities and event notes include a water aid station at the lap point, registration and post run tea coffee and cake at Oak Lodge, a discounted parking rate of £5 for participants with a QR code, and a cupless policy so participants should bring their own cups or bottles. A bespoke finishers medal is provided and a lucky dip medal option may be offered. Twenty percent of each entry fee supports forest upkeep. Virtual entries are available via the organiser's shop.
