Event format and entry
This is a timed multi-lap running event offering either a six-hour or a four-hour option. Each lap measures 5.3 km on a multi-terrain course of gravel footpaths and grass. Participants may run as many laps as they wish within the chosen time window; standard lap counts given in the event information include five laps for a heavy half marathon (with options to add laps) and nine laps as the standard for an ultra (with the option to increase up to 12 laps). An aid station is provided at the race HQ/Base Camp on each lap. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottle or cup. Maximum entrants are 100. Minimum age is 18 yrs. Entries close 13/12/2025 and transfers close 07/12/2025.
Location, course and logistics
The event is held at Brandon Country Park in the heart of Thetford Forest, postcode IP27 0SU. The park is just south of Brandon, near the A11 at Elveden, and is within driving distance of Bury St Edmunds, Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich; Brandon Railway Station is listed as about 1.5 miles away.
On the day, marshals will direct parking (parking is chargeable) and registration. Race HQ/Base Camp and the lap start/finish are in the same area; there is a baggage space but items are left at the owner’s risk. Road trainers are suggested, though trail shoes may be useful depending on prior weather. A bespoke event medal is available, with a non-specific “lucky dip” medal option and virtual entries offered for those not attending in person.
