ZigZag - 'Twas The Run Before Christmas
This event takes place at Brandon Country Park in the heart of Thetford Forest, postcode IP27 0SU. It is offered in a timed format with a 6-hour option and a 4-hour option. The course is a 5.3 km lap on gravel footpaths and grass areas, described as a multi-terrain loop. There is an aid station at the Race HQ/Base Camp at the start and lap point. Runners may rest between laps and return to the course as they wish.
The organiser gives lap guidelines for common distances: a heavy half marathon is listed as 5 laps (with the option to change on the day) and an ultra standard is listed as 9 laps (with the option to increase up to 12 laps). The event can accommodate completion of 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon or ultra distances according to laps completed.
Practical information
Entries are limited to a maximum of 100 entrants. The minimum age is 18 years and entries close on 13/12/2025. Registration is managed via EventEntry with a confirmation from Zig Zag Running; bib numbers are collected at Race Registration on the day. Parking at the park is chargeable and marshals will direct parking. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottle or cup.
