The ZigZag 2025 Christmas Canter takes place on Saturday, 20 December 2025 at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds, IP29 5AX. Distances offered are:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Ultra
Entry is limited to a maximum of 300 participants and the minimum age is 18 years. Entries close on 19/12/2025. The event uses a mass start and has a seven-hour cut off. Parking is included with entry. The event is cupless, so participants must provide their own cups or bottles for refilling. Entrants receive an email confirmation that includes a link to the race briefing information pack. A bespoke finisher medal is supplied, with a lucky-dip finisher option available for some entry types.
Course and race support
The course is all on road and pavement with rolling hills and approximately 600 ft of elevation. The half marathon is a single loop, the marathon is two loops, and the ultra continues to the 5k or 10k turnaround point. Distances under a half marathon use an out-and-back format to set turnaround points. The half and full use the Windmill Way route; the 5k and 10k use Golding Hills. Race HQ / Base Camp is at the start and lap point and will host a water/aid station. Aid stations with drinks and snacks are provided approximately every 10 km.
