Christmas Canter - Bury St Edmunds
Christmas Canter is a multi-distance road event held at the Suffolk Running Centre, Church Road, Bury St Edmunds on 19/12/2026. The event offers a seven-hour cut off and a single mass start for all distances.

- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon (Hargrave Half route, single 21.3 km loop)
- Full marathon (two loops of the Hargrave Half)
- Ultra (two Hargrave Half loops plus optional extension to the 5k or 10k turnpoint)
Course details: the Hargrave Half route is a 21.3 km single loop on quiet roads with 183 m of climb. The Mount Barrow course is a 10.5 km out-and-back on road with 168 m of climb and reported high/low points of 89 m and 48 m. A GPX file is available from the course information.
Event logistics: there will be an aid station with drinks and snacks approximately every 10 km. Race HQ/Base Camp is at the start and lap point and will host the main water/aid station. Parking is included in the entry price.
Additional notes: the event is cupless so participants should bring their own bottles or cups. Dogs and buggies are not permitted on the route. Headphones are not allowed except bone conduction models. Organiser: Zig Zag Running. A bespoke finisher medal is provided, with a lucky-dip medal option where offered.
