Thetford 5K Santa Run
The Thetford 5K Santa Run is a 5 km run in and around Thetford, with both start and finish at Thetford Guildhall in the town's historic Market Place, Norfolk, IP24 2AL. The event takes place on Sunday 13 December 2026.
Participants are encouraged to wear festive fancy dress; prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Medals are provided for all finishers. Free tea, coffee, squash and mince pies are available at the finish.
The route is mostly on pavements with a few road crossings and some short off road sections. No headphones are allowed. The event is organised with Thetford Town Council.
The event notes plenty of free parking nearby. It is presented as suitable for families, with no cut off time and acceptance of single running buggies. Children may take part but must be within arm’s reach of a responsible adult at all times and remain the responsibility of their parent or guardian.
