Midwinter 7K Forest Social Run - Santon Downham
A free group run of 7K through woodland paths and fire roads in Santon Downham, Norfolk on Monday 21st December 2026. The route runs in low light, so participants should bring at least one torch.
The surface is sandy and stony with tree roots and rabbit holes. Depending on weather, there may be mud and puddles. The event is not suitable for buggies or dogs. Under 16s may take part only if booked with and accompanied by an adult, and remain the responsibility of that adult.
Run Leaders will manage the group, with one leader running at the pace of the slowest participant and at least one leader at the front to guide the way. A route map will be provided and a GPX file is available on request for use with a watch or phone. Runners who choose to go ahead are responsible for finding their own way back.
If skies are clear there will be an opportunity for stargazing. Drinks and snacks will be available at the finish. There is a limit of 21 runners; places are allocated on a first come first served basis. Parking is provided near Santon Downham just off Santon Road; the car park has a dirt surface that may be rough in places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
