About the race
The Valley of the Owls Run, organized by Zig Zag Running, takes place at the Suffolk Running Centre in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The scenic course passes through the village of Ousden, known as the Valley of the Owls, featuring some of England’s oldest roads and beautiful countryside. Participants can choose from multiple distances: 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon, or ultra.
The half marathon follows a single loop on the Dalham Kiln route, with the full marathon consisting of two loops, while shorter distances use the Goldings Hills out-and-back route, promoting a social atmosphere. Aid stations with drinks and snacks are available every 10k, and parking is included. The event is cupless, so runners must bring their own hydration.
