Event Overview
The Remembrance Run takes place at Ferry Meadows, a large country park located within Nene Park near the Peterborough city centre. The event follows a timed format where participants can choose between a 6 hour or 4 hour duration. The course consists of a 5.3 km lap through the park, and participants may run as many or as few laps as they wish within their chosen time limit. Those departing the base camp before the final second of their time limit are permitted to complete one additional lap.
Course and Terrain
The route features a mix of country park footpaths and grass areas. The terrain is described as undulating. Participants pass through varied landscapes including the park's natural scenery. A central Race HQ and base camp are established at the start and lap point, which serves as a dedicated aid station for every loop. This setup is designed to assist those aiming for specific distances without the need for complex navigation or carrying specific safety kits.
Practical Information
The event is open to individuals aged 18 years and older, with a maximum capacity of 300 entrants. Participants should arrive at the main toilet block near the parking area to find the race arch and registration gazebos.
