Remembrance Run - Ferry Meadows
Remembrance Run is a lapped running event held at Ferry Meadows country park in Peterborough. The event offers timed formats of different lengths so participants run as many laps as they can in the allocated time. The course uses a 5.3 km lap across gravel footpaths and grass sections, making it a multi-terrain route.
The event base is at the Lakeside Centre on the watersports side of the park. Registration and bib collection are located at the Lakeside Centre and the Race HQ or Base Camp sits at the start and lap point, where an aid station provides water and supplies each lap. Parking at the park is chargeable.
Standard lap targets are described in laps rather than fixed distances, for example a heavy half marathon is typically five laps and a standard ultra is nine laps, with scope to increase lap counts where time allows. Participants may pace, rest between laps, or continue for longer distances during the event.
Organisers provide a bespoke event medal at the finish unless a general finisher medal option is chosen. Virtual places are available through the organiser for those who want the medal without attending in person. The event is cupless; participants should bring a bottle or cup for refilling.
