Remembrance Run - Ferry Meadows
Remembrance Run takes place at Ferry Meadows in Nene Park, near Peterborough. The event is offered in two timed formats and uses a 5.3 km lap through forest with gravel footpaths and some grass areas, making it a multi-terrain, lapped course. Runners may complete as many laps as they wish and may rest between laps.
Standard lap-based distances are used for recognised distances: a heavy half marathon is typically five laps with options to change on the day, and an ultra marathon is typically nine laps with the possibility to increase laps up to twelve. The event provides an aid station at the Race HQ/Base Camp each lap, minimal navigation requirements, and no mandatory kit list.
Event operations are based at the Lakeside Centre on the watersports side of the park. Zig Zag Running sets up gazebos visible from the car park; registration takes place at the Lakeside Centre where bib numbers are collected. Parking at the park is chargeable. Road trainers are suggested but trail shoes may be useful depending on recent weather. A bespoke event medal is available; an alternative finisher medal option is also offered. Virtual entries for a medal are available through the organiser's shop. The event is cupless so participants are expected to bring their own bottles or cups for refilling.
