ATW Oundle Triathlon Overview
The ATW Oundle Triathlon takes place at the Oundle School Swimming Pool in Northamptonshire. The event features a swim in one of the few indoor 50m pools in the country, followed by a cycling stage on open country roads to the north of Oundle. The competition concludes with a run through the grounds of Oundle School. This event is a host for the 2026 East Region Adult Race Series.
Available Distances and Formats
Participants can choose from several event formats and distances:
- Supersprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 13km bike, and 2.6km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 600m swim, 25km bike, and 5.3km run.
- Sprint Distance Aquabike: 600m swim and 25km bike.
- Sprint Distance Triathlon Relay: 600m swim, 25km bike, and 5km run.
Course Details and Logistics
The transition area is situated on a grass playing field. The cycling leg is a draft-illegal course held on open roads, while the run takes place on the school's playing fields. Every participant receives individual chip timing. On-site parking is available for athletes.
Participant Safety and Amenities
The event provides well-marked courses and marshals for support. Entrants receive a custom-designed medal, finish line snacks, and free event photos. The race is open to participants aged 15 and over. In addition to the adult races, a children's triathlon is held in the afternoon on the same date.
