ATW Grafham Triathlon
ATW Grafham Triathlon takes place at Grafham Water Visitor Centre in Cambridgeshire and is organised by Active Training World. The event offers sprint and standard triathlon formats and includes swim, bike and run sections around the reservoir.
- Standard distance triathlon: swim 1500 m, cycle 38 km, run 10 km
- Sprint distance triathlon: swim 750 m, cycle 17 km, run 5 km
The swim uses laps of a 750 m loop in the Grafham Water reservoir. The sprint completes one lap and the standard completes two laps. The bike is a flat out and back course that passes local villages; the sprint turns in the village of Perry and the standard turns in the town of St Neots.
The run is based on a 5 km lap on natural footpaths around Grafham Water. The route goes out and back across the dam wall and loops past the finish and transition area; the sprint finishes after one lap and the standard completes two laps.
A standard distance Aquabike option is available for participants who do not wish to run, and a standard distance relay is available with teams of two or three sharing the disciplines. Wetsuit hire is offered in season and for short periods. Camping and dormitory style accommodation are available the night before the event. The event provides course marshalls, on course signage, a custom medal, finish line items and free event photos. The charity partner is Alzheimer’s Research UK.
ATW’s transfer policy does not offer refunds or transfers to another person, but entries can be transferred to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event without proof. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
