ATW Grafham Triathlon - Grafham Water
The event takes place on 25 September 2027 at Grafham Water Visitor Centre, Marlow Park, Grafham, Huntingdon, Cambs. It is organised by Active Training World and is an in-person triathlon event held at the Grafham Water reservoir.
There are multiple race formats available:
- Standard Distance Triathlon: swim 1500m, cycle 38km, run 10km
- Sprint Distance Triathlon: swim 750m, cycle 17km, run 5km
The swim uses laps of a 750m loop in the Grafham Water reservoir; the Sprint completes one lap and the Standard completes two. The bike is a flat out-and-back course through local villages with the Sprint turning in Perry and the Standard turning in St Neots. The run is based on a 5 km lap of natural footpaths, crossing the dam wall and passing the finish and transition area; Sprint completes one lap, Standard completes two.
Alternatives include a Standard Aquabike (swim and bike only) and a Standard relay option for teams of two or three sharing the disciplines. Wetsuit hire is offered through Zone3 for the season and via a separate day or weekend hire option. Camping is available the night before via Lakeview Paddock. The event features chip timing, marshals, marked course, a custom medal, finish line items and free event photos. Charity fundraising for Alzheimer’s Research UK is supported and entries are transferable to future ATW events up to 48 hours before the event.
