ATW Grafham Triathlon : event overview
The ATW Grafham Triathlon takes place at Grafham Water Visitor Centre, Marlow Park, Grafham, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The next scheduled race date listed is 26/09/2026. The swim is held in the Grafham Water reservoir using a 750 m loop, and the bike and run use local roads and footpaths. Parking is available on site with charges payable at ticket machines. Camping and dormitory-style accommodation are offered for the night before the event. Wetsuit hire is available through partner providers. The event includes a custom medal, finish-line items, and free event photos. The event organiser is ATW, which runs multiple swim-bike-run events and records over 40,000 entries per year.
Distances, course and entry options
- Standard Distance Triathlon - swim 1500m, cycle 38km, run 10km
- Sprint Distance Triathlon - swim 750m, cycle 17km, run 5km
The swim uses laps of the 750 m loop; the Sprint does one lap, the Standard does two. The bike is a flat out-and-back course; the Sprint turns in the village of Perry and the Standard turns in St Neots. The run uses laps of a 5 km route on natural footpaths, crossing the dam wall; the Sprint completes one lap, the Standard two. A standard distance Aquabike option is available. A standard distance relay option allows 2 or 3 people to share the disciplines. Transfers to another ATW event are permitted up to 48 hours before the event; refunds and transfers to another person are not offered.
